In 2015, the Chef Romain Fornell was incorporated as gastronomic director of the Hostal la Gavina de S’Aragó. A 5 stars hotel Grand Luxe, considered one of the best in the Costa Brava, and one of the most emblematic in the Mediterranean. The direction of the hotel has signed a colaboracion agreement with the chef Romain Fornell, of french origin , and located in Barcelona since 1996. Its trajectory and international recognition brought him a status of gran chef and the owners and team at La Gavina has an absolute trust in his talent and experience.
The gastronomic line of La Gavina, since the arrival of Romain, upgraded in relation to the most demanding standards of high end cuisine, but by also keeping the essence that characterise the space: traditional mediterranean cuisine and building its own identity and creativity. Fornell is in charge of all the gastronomic spaces of the hotel, La Terraza, el Restaurante Piscina de Garbí, el Villa d’Este, the weddings events and banquets and with a special emphasis on the restaurant Candlelight, the gastronomic restaurant. The beautiful staircase that gives access to the restaurant the Candlelight, welcomes the guests in the intimate and private ambiance that accompany the dinner.
The patio of Candlelight also keeps the essence of intimacy in the interior. Dining in this quietness is a delight thanks to the beautifulness and care of the scenery.
